This week we started training volunteers to participate in the summer camp for children living in social apartments. We are happy to have so many volunteers who are willing to take a week of their holiday to be dedicated for children who have no parents.
Their interventions are based on therapeutic interventions for children with a history of trauma, and the expected results include increasing the capacity to recognize and manage emotions, expressing feelings through art and play, developing social integration capacity by assuming some basic principles (no hurts , have respect, stick together) – aspects that are prerequisites for “having fun”.
Many thanks for all of you who have donated to make this happen. We’ll get back on August with a review of the camp.
