For Christmas, in a Bethlehem’s manger, God showed us what humility means: ” And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” (Luke 2, 12)
Did you know that in Bucharest there is a district called India? Children who live here are truly in dire poverty and abandonment risk is huge. For this reason we decided to support “Hope Rescue Centre” by providing Christmas gifts to these children, whom are not visited by anyone else. We are greatful for our partners and the great work they do. They truly visit them for the rest of the year as well.
Many Romanian officials are in a state of denial regarding the high degree of poverty in the country, although 40% of the population is affected by this phenomenon, and 34.1% of children suffer from extreme indigence, as reported by the UN rapporteur on problems of poverty, Philip Alston.
You may find below some photos from “India” and we also like to thank you for your support and take this opportunity to wish you a blessed Christmas!
